One minor police casualty today was Patrolman Jerry Sirrica, who was bitten on the finger during the melee by an unidentified picket. The injury was not serious and he did not require medical attention. Officer Robert Carriero turned up for duty today limping from an ankle injury received in Thursday’s scuffle. He was sent home. Also complainnig from minor pains from today’s pushing and shoving were Patrolman Robert Sawicki and Henry Kucinski. Both remained on duty. Today marks the end of the second week of the strike as negotiators in Cincinnati, Ohio, failed to reach agreement on a master contract covering Uniroyal’s more than 20,000 union employes in plants across the country. Talks, however, are continuing.
